Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive imaging technology used to obtain high-resolution cross-sectional images of biological tissues.
OCT works on the principle of low-coherence interferometry. It uses a broadband light source to measure the time delay and intensity of reflected light from different layers of tissue. This allows for the reconstruction of detailed 2D and 3D images.

Visual field test tells us about your visual field details and surroundings of visual fields that are seen from the corner of your eyes when you focus on the center of your visual field. This test can rule out scotoma (blind spot) in your vision and constriction of the visual field like in glaucoma.
Visual field testing can not only rule out retinal diseases but also neurological diseases like visual field loss due to optic nerve compression or Brain occupying lesions or focal defects.
Visual field testing also gives feedback regarding the progression of glaucomatous damage which helps an ophthalmologist to make changes in the treatment plan.
